Macadamia Nuts Market Update April 2022 Week 17

As you know, the picking season of the Chinese macadamia nuts is between August and September. Meanwhile, for nuts from South Africa, it is between March and April, and for the Australian macadamias, it is March to May.

As you can see, China has an entirely different harvest season. So, the price of the Chinese macadamia nuts largely depends on the offer made on the South African and Australian nuts. It also depends on the sales in the domestic market.

At the moment, in-shell, flavoured macadamia nuts are quite popular, both original and milk-flavoured. This is particularly true for the middle east and the EU markets as well. We will let you know as the situation progresses.
