Walnut Market Update November 2021
Admittedly, there has not been much development in the walnut market since we published our previous report. However, later this week, we expect a more comprehensive look at the industry.
State of The Crop
As we all know, the walnut harvest began in early September, but the arrivals have been quite slow this year. It is expected that edible yields will be on par or better than last year with fewer molds and defects.
The walnuts' colors have been noted to be lighter, but the quality is much better than last year's. In fact, this has been reported to be the case despite shriveling that has increased this year. If these forecasts turn out to be correct, then buyers will definitely be buying stocks quicker. As far as shipping concerns go, unfortunately, these remain the same, and we will have to see what happens next.
